Anthelmintic

Anthelmintics are used to treat infections caused by parasitic worms, such as roundworms, tapeworms, and flukes. They work by either paralyzing the worms or disrupting their metabolism, enabling the body to expel them naturally. Herbal anthelmintics include wormwood (Artemisia absinthium), black walnut (Juglans nigra), and garlic (Allium sativum), which have been traditionally used in deworming protocols. In modern medicine, pharmaceutical anthelmintics like albendazole and ivermectin are common. These agents are essential for maintaining health in regions where parasitic infections are prevalent and are also used in veterinary medicine.
