Phytoestrogenic

Phytoestrogenic substances are used to support hormonal balance, particularly during phases of estrogen deficiency, such as menopause, or conditions requiring modulation of estrogen activity. These plant compounds, such as isoflavones, lignans, and coumestans, can exert both estrogenic and anti-estrogenic effects depending on the body’s hormonal environment. Examples include red clover (Trifolium pratense), soy (Glycine max), and flaxseed (Linum usitatissimum), which are rich in isoflavones and lignans. Phytoestrogenic herbs are often used to alleviate menopausal symptoms, support bone health, and regulate menstrual cycles. However, caution is advised for those with estrogen-sensitive conditions.
