Sinus infections

Sinus infections are characterized by nasal congestion, facial pain or pressure, headache, and sometimes fever. The condition may be acute, lasting for a short period, or chronic, persisting for weeks or months. Herbs like goldenrod (Solidago spp.), goldenseal (Hydrastis canadensis), and elderflower (Sambucus nigra) are traditionally used to reduce inflammation, support drainage, and fight infection. Steam inhalation with essential oils like eucalyptus or peppermint can also help clear nasal passages. Hydration, saline rinses, and immune-supportive practices, such as consuming echinacea (Echinacea spp.) or elderberry (Sambucus nigra), are beneficial for recovery and prevention.
